Maria Porro, born in 1983, is the new president of Milan Salone Del Mobile. Formerly, President of Assarredo, she was elected by the Board of Directors of Federlegno Arredo Eventi to lead the iSaloni, the most important international design event.

Maria Porro stated that “Our goal is a strong, united, inclusive, sustainable and creative Salone del Mobile “. The key values of iSaloni 2022 are quality, innovation, beauty and now more than ever, sustainability.

The main objective of iSaloni 2022 is to demonstrate that it is possible and necessary to return to the creation of large international events in the presence of the public, merging sustainability criteria and environmental care with furniture production.

iSaloni 2022 acts as a blank canvas for all its protagonists, such as companies, brands and designers, allowing them to design their own identities, promote their own content and tell their own stories. A reference point for the entire design community.

23rd Edition Of SaloneSatellite

More than 600 young designers will participate in the 23rd edition of SaloneSatellite. This year’s theme is Designing For Our Future Selves. This edition will invite us to reflect on “inclusive” design, promoting autonomy, comfort, movement, usability, interaction and safety for all.

iSaloni 2022 Around The City

The 60th edition of the iSaloni 2022 will once again venture beyond the boundaries of the fair and into the city: starting June 7, a monumental site-specific film installation will be presented in the Sala delle Cariatidi of Palazzo Reale, based on the 11 values that have always been embedded in the Salone’s DNA.

It will screen 11 auteur films by 11 important Italian filmmakers, including Francesca Archibugi and Pappi Corsicato.

In the spirit of an ever-increasing openness to the exchange and circulation of ideas, culture and creativity, the collaboration with the Teatro alla Scala Foundation will be renewed.

The Salone opens this year with a concert by the Philharmonic directed by Lorenzo Viotti, followed by a ballet starring the extraordinary Roberto Bolle.
