Contemporary Style can often be mixed with the Modern Style, despite these two styles may seem similar there are some differences to be found! Contemporary interiors are filled with space instead of things. This gives focusing colour, space and shape, which are fresh and sleek.
The word -contemporary- means ‘of the moment’ making this style hard to define! Dating back to the 1970s, this style is unique for it borrows many elements from other movements and design styles.
In the Contemporary Style, we can see inclinations to modern, traditional, art deco and even futuristic design! Nonetheless, this style is defined by its simplicity, subtle sophistication, deliberate use of texture and clean lines.
