Karen Howes founded the Taylor Howes interior design studio in 1993, and it has redefined a new standard for remarkable interiors and exquisite furnishings. Their work is frequently sought after by the world’s press and media, and they are honoured to be recognised as a Great British Brand, having received over 15 awards and being named to the House & Garden Top 100 Designers 2021 list. These accomplishments are a barometer for their standing in London’s creative heart.
Taylor Howes’ headquarters, located in the old Aston Martin Showroom in Knightsbridge, just a short walk from Harrods, exemplifies the company’s ethos. The studio, which spans five thousand square feet over two floors, is used to showcase the many talented artisans that Taylor Howes champions alongside its specialist suppliers.

Rather than sourcing only ‘off-the-shelf’ items, the interior design team spends a significant amount of time cultivating long-term relationships with a diverse range of incredibly talented craftspeople and designer-makers. As a result, they are able to offer their clients truly unique, elegant, and high-quality design solutions.
At the heart of this home was the ultimate family experience. Every element of the interior design and journey of the 7-story home was created in collaboration with the clients and their children.
In the children’s areas, imaginative play was balanced with exquisite detailing in the formal living areas.
“When using bursts of colour in a bold and confident manner, we place great emphasis on finding show stopping artwork to fulfill our client’s needs. A bright and vibrant artwork was commissioned for the formal living room setting the scene for this luxurious family home.”
Taylor Howes brings “polished punk” to Soho’s iconic Denmark Street with Chateau Denmark, a new hospitality concept part of the immersive media district Outernet Global.
Chateau Denmark is inspired by Denmark Street’s iconic history, and it combines creative expression with fine architectural detail.
51 Mount Street is a stunning apartment in a Grade II listed building in the heart of Mayfair Village. The design team was inspired by the beauty and history of this charming street, incorporating details from local patterns, textures, and colors.
The tone is modern and sophisticated, fitting the aesthetic of modern elegance and the Taylor Howes ethos of true design for living. It is a welcoming apartment with an effortlessly stylish interior that focuses on a classic style with a modern influence and a touch of glamour and luxury.
