St. John’s Wood is a luxury penthouse property with 3,500 sqft overlooking Lord’s Cricket Ground has the luxury of two vast external spaces; one full-length terrace to the front of the building and a winter garden and balcony to the rear, both with enviable views. Making use of the building’s curved façade, complimentary soft lines were introduced in the custom loose furniture, decorative lighting, and architectural hardware.
These feminine forms were counterpointed with strong symmetry and a more angular motif running through the fitted cabinetry, with the decorative intent of the spatial planning working cleverly to enhance the layout of the rooms and their furniture.
The deliberately neutral fabric palette of the entire space is accented by a richness of colour in the joinery pieces, use of bright metal and stone finishes, and finally strong punches of colour in the artwork.
As on all of its projects, Morpheus designed beautiful items of furniture and joinery, including the Thomas James’ entrance hallway console and the Thomas James’ dining table, some of the stand out items of furniture in the apartment.
Design details include the fine brass inlay detailing within the fitted joinery and door details. These details incorporate a common thread carried throughout the apartment.
The master bathroom is overlaid in book match marble with the vanity unit, complete with double basins, bespoke designed in a soft, fluid, concave style. Wall-mounted taps add to the sleek and minimal look, whilst the large shower area has the showerhead recessed into the ceiling.
