The form language of this building is inspired by the classic North-American barn architecture and is characterised by a simple cubic design, which is integrated respectfully in its surroundings. Built like the traditional American wood-frame buildings, it surprises with an unconventional use of materials and unexpected contrasts between the interior and the exterior. The openly interconnecting living rooms are flooded with light thanks to the large windows, and are designed and furnished in minimalist character.
The orientation of the buildings to different points of the compass and the well-planned open space design using special plants and water areas offers a maximum of privacy despite close physical proximity. The resulting generous, modern ambience is reflected in the loft-type interiors: the well-planned support structure enables flowing room sequences interrupted only by occasional load-bearing elements. Light-drenched rooms, floor-to-ceiling glazing with generously-sized windows opening on to nature while maintaining privacy are the central themes of the design.

The house with its view across the Ammersee is characterised by the fusion of indoor and outdoor space. The cubic shape is softened by the eye-catching overhang as well as the dark pigmented horizontal wooden façade. Smooth transitions between the living areas and the levels create a generous spatial effect.
