Most of us probably settles with the basic beige or white tones when it comes to choosing the color of wall paint. But why should we limit ourselves to just that? When there is such a wide variety of color, maybe it is time to try something a little bit different, even only in one room? My choice for color accent walls would definitely be green, in all its mysterious and rich shades.
Sage green is probably my favourite shade for wall paint. As you can see it brings out the details of a historic apartment such as this. In this color palette try to incorporate a lot of white and brown – green reveals itself best when surrounded by other natural tones. As for the style of this interior – it holds some modern steel-frame pieces and glass as well as antiques (I particularly enjoy the sofa upholstered with plum-shaded velvet fabric… and the way it goes with the pink accent on the wall – a masterpiece mix of styles and colors).
Are you already a proud owner of a green velvet sofa? Why don’t you paint the walls green as well? And then add a couple of green, amaranth and yellow accents? For a warm shade of upholstery as this one choose a darker, cooler shade of green wall paint.
Half-painted walls are the next it-thing in interior design. They create a great background for instance for a typographic poster gallery. In this interior, the wall paint shade is a dark, slightly bluish green, which is perfect with pale pink, black and white. As for the style – scandinavian mid-century style would be just fine.
Optimistic light green all over the room? Most definitely. With some statement furniture pieces, colorful cushions and interesting flower arrangements the green walls create a living room that all of the design lovers dream of…
Who said that bedroom walls need to be kept neutral? With those jade green walls it is sure that you will wake up feeling optimistic. This interior is another example that white wall panelling is what green walls need the most. This interior also benefits greatly from some graphics and home accessories in expressive colors, such as purple and turquoise – this is a piece of advice that works for all of eclectic interiors.
And how about this bedroom design? Green walls in a dark shade bring out the rest of the design, which is only in neutral shades, but has a lot of texture to it. Some minimal furniture plus a nature inspired color scheme certainly work well together.
Green walls – add them to your interior design to see their positive influence not only on your interiors, but also on your general attitude towards life. Stay optimistic and inspired with more articles from Home Inspiration Ideas Blog!
